The Great Kapok Tree
Last week Kellen's class put on a cute play. They acted out the book The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. I had never read this book and I loved it. It is about this tree in the rain forest that is home to many animals. When a man starts chopping it down things get interesting. The kids played the animals and they all had something to say to the man. All the kids made their own costumes and Ms. Loker was the narrator.
