Let's Read A Book!

Today, I took Ethan to the library to get our new cards. The library here is pretty big and Ethan was impressed. I also took the time to sign him up for the summer reading program. They seem to have a good program here. Nothing quite as good as the one from our old library. They even have some programs that I think that we might take advantage of. There is a movie day, a black light puppet show, and other things. Sounds like fun!

Ethan picked out quite a few books that he wanted to read. The books were all on animals like lizards and dinosaurs. I thought that he would want to read stories but he is really interested in animal facts. We also got a book about building things like rockets, planes, and things that float. That should keep us busy in the weeks to come. I am sure that there will be pictures when we start to build.

This summer is shaping up to be a busy one!

Be Glad With Dad!

It has been a beautiful day here and I got to spend it with one of the best dads that I know, My husband! I am just sitting here thinking about my dad and step dad. I have so many wonderful memories with both of them. But as today is also my anniversary I am thinking about my wedding day! I am remembering my dad walking me down the aisle and our dance. I am also thinking about Ray. I remember him showing up at the reception with a Mickey Mouse vest on. I also remember our dance. I remember being so dizzy by the end of the dances that I could barely stand. There are also many memories of both of them as I grew up. But those are what I am remembering right now.

So I hope that all dads had a wonderful day! We did! We did some yard work and built a fire pit in the back yard. We can hardly wait to try it out! Maybe next weekend we will do the whole hot dog and S'mores thing.

Tiny Triumphs 30

WOW!!! What a week it has been. We have all moved in up here in Marshfield. The move went well! Now we are just trying to find places for all our junk. We have had a bit of a problem with the house up here. Things that we were promised that would be done before we moved in are not done. We are trying to be patient but as you well know that is not my strong suit. We will be talking to the landlord this weekend to get his plans for fixing everything. Right now we are living in the downstairs part of the house. The upstairs still needs the floor finished. So we are kind of in limbo right now. But we have a yard!!!! And that is the plus side of everything!!!!

On with the Triumphs!

1. We now have all the boxes in the house!

2. Kellen is up at Grandma Schumacher's house for the summer! He is raising pigs again! Their names are Roast, Bacon, Ribs, and Hock.

3. Jared is loving his job! And I am sure that he is glad that we are up here with him full time.

4. The kitty did well with her trip up here. She slept on Kellen most of the way up here. It was so cute!

5. The house is kind of getting sorted out

6. And last but not least, the litter is still being scooped!

Tiny Triumphs 29

This week's Tiny Triumphs will be a bit early as things will be busy here on Thursday. The boys are done with school on Thursday so I will be at school for the awards ceremony. Also, if you did not know we are moving on Saturday so I am getting things ready to go. It seems to be a never ending list of things to do. But I have to say things are almost done.

1. The litter is still being taken of

2. The packing is almost done!

3. The school year is almost over! And if I am this excited I wonder how excited the boys are?

4. This time next week I will be in my new home. Hopefully, mostly unpacked!

Also, hopefully by next week my stomach would have settled down enough to eat again. But I have to say that it is a good way to loose some weight. Not really. I can eat but all I want is junk

Lily is Super Cute!

Lily, our kitty, is so cute sometimes. Other times she is pure evil. Tonight she was cute! She curled up behind some boxes and fell asleep. She was even sleeping with her favorite toy, her dolphin. When we saw her I had to take her picture!Lily with her dolphin under a stack of boxes

Super cute Lily

How Many Ethan's Does It Take????

Answer this age old question.... How many Ethan's does it take to screw in a light bulb? Or as Ethan calls them light balls. I guess I will give you the answer. One is all it took for my light bulbs to be changed!Ethan checking out his work
Ethan on the table putting the new light in
I will hire him out to the highest bidder. He does light bulbs, mirrors (only as high as he can reach), windows (same thing as the mirrors), dusting as long as it is not much (he lasts about 4 and 1/2 minutes), and of course sweeping (just moves the dirt around). I will also hire him out to anyone who needs something measured. He loves to work a tape measure! But he only measures what he wants to! Let me know if he could be any help to you and I will send him over!

Another week has come and gone and I can hardly believe how fast time is going. The boys are out of school for the summer a week from today! Things are really getting done around here. We are almost packed up. There is very little left to pack. I can't believe that we are moving in less than a week and a half. Yikes! Where does the time go?

1. Things on the school front are calming down. Less homework, projects, and stuff. So that means more fun and less stress

2. The third week that Jared is gone is a short one and is almost over! Then just one more week!

3. The litter is still being scooped!

4. I have been spending a lot of time in the school now that I am no longer working.

Have a great week
