Last June I posted about a flood that was wreaking havoc throughout our state. Well, if you don't remember the pictures that I posted last year click HERE to see them again. I just hope it is not as bad as last year. So many people lost their homes and everything that they owned. Jared, the boys, and I drove around and took pictures of the flooding so far. I hope it doesn't get much worse. The view from in the car. Look how close the river is
We are a busy family of 3. April is a nursing student with 3 semesters remaining before receiving her RN. Kellen will be a junior in high school. He still plays his French Horn and has added a few other instruments. He now also plays the trumpet, trombone, and the mellophone. Ethan will be starting the 8th grade in the fall. Ethan still plays his guitar and is still in lessons.

Geek In Tarining
On Saturday Jared and I took Kellen to Misty Mountain Games. We took him there because Jared thought that Kellen would love to try the Mech Warrior Pods. He was right! Kellen had a blast! They even made me drive too. We all had code names Kellen was K-Man, April was Muffin, and Jared was Teenie. These things are HUGE. Kellen and I were on a team and we were trying to kill Jared's Mech. Kellen by the pod
Lunch With The Reebs
On Friday the boys had a half day of school. We met Auntie Jamie, Aiden, and Owen at Mc Donald's for lunch. The boys had a good time seeing their cousins. Ethan was such a big help with Owen. He helped him up the play things. Then he helped him down when Owen did not want to be up there anymore. Auntie Jamie, Owen, and Ethan

Let The Headaches Begin!
Kellen brought home his recorder from school today! He practiced for about a half an hour before my head could not take it anymore. He was so cute! Every time he made a mistake he stop playing and say Darn. Then he would start again. I think that I can handle the recorder or some other instrument...........except the drums. Don't tell him that he should play the drums!
Gloria Goes To School!
Today Uncle Ben brought a visitor into the boy's classes. Meet Gloria the Blue Tongued Skink! The kids had some great stories and questions about Gloria and Ben's other lizards. This is Gloria in her play pen

Ben holding Gloria so the kids could feel her
Kellen's classmates touching Gloria
More of Kellen's class. One of the kids said that Gloria felt like corn on the cob. I guess she kind of does!

Look how happy they are to have Gloria in the class
More kids
The two little girls in the corner did not want to touch Gloria. Ben convinced them to try!
More of the kids
More of the kids getting to pet Gloria
Mrs. Krahn did not want to touch Gloria. She "chickened out" said Ethan. She finally did touch her but Ben had to turn her around. So Gloria wouldn't look at Mrs. Krahn while she was touching her.
The boys had a great time! The kids in the class loved it too! Thanks, Uncle Ben and Aunt Maire for sharing your pets with the kids!

Luck Of The Irish!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The boys wore all their green today. So they would not get pinched. The boys in their green

Here are a few Irish sayings that I like

Anyone acquainted with Ireland knows that the morning of St. Patrick's Day consists of the night of the seventeenth of March flavored strongly with the morning of the eighteenth. ~Author Unknown
May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

Fun At The Parks!
This weekend the weather here was beautiful! We spent a bit of both Saturday and Sunday at the parks in the area. I hope the weather keeps getting warmer! I think I can feel spring in the air. Also, I want to put away the boots and winter gear for the year. Ethan sliding down the fireman's pole
Ethan hates the bridges that wobble when you walk on them. I guess going over them this way is less scary. You can see Steve in the background
Kellen can't resist a baby! He sees one and has to stop to talk to it
